Product Description
This is Appledore Research Group’s major “framework” report on automated, next-generation assurance. It complements “The Role of Closed Loop Automation in Virtualized Networks” and serves ad the foundation for many profiles and future documents.
This report will outline the business requirements of assuring the hybrid virtualized network. It will define the increasing interlinked relationship between service assurance and the orchestration layer. A fundamental principal is the evolution of service assurance to support multi-domain networks in both the physical and virtual infrastructure, stream based analytics, and higher levels of automation supported by instant inventory and common models. The report will be useful to architects, product managers, and operations in understanding new sources of data, the real time analysis needed to support resiliency and the scaling out of workloads for both cost optimization and network balancing. Rapid Automated Service Assurance (RASA) solutions must synchronize to manage NFV, SDN, and the physical network constraints.
We will explore the logic used in workflows to manage service control loops and the evolution of automation in the orchestration layer. A framework will be developed to allow CSPs and suppliers to map capabilities and functions across critical functions in the RASA architecture
