GenAI in BSS: MWC25 Update
Agentic AI commanded significant attention throughout the MWC showfloor, reflecting the industry’s current fascination with this technology. While there were expectations that Agentic AI would dominate MWC25 in the same way that Gen-AI took center stage at MWC24, its presence, though substantial, didn’t quite reach the anticipated level of pervasiveness.
That said, the interest in all generative forms of AI remains exceptionally strong in telco world, even more than two years after ChatGPT 3.5’s debut. However, there’s been a notable shift among CSPs, who are now focusing more on understanding the underlying technology rather than simply being impressed by the surface-level applications.
