Wind River – Edge to centre Telco Cloud Management

Wind River has raised its telecom profile recently, particularly in Edge and vRAN/Open RAN applications. Its progress in telecom has grown from its early virtualized infrastructure manager (VIM) offering, Titanium Cloud, and since January 2021 Wind River Studio, a telco-focused, cloud-native, lifecycle management platform for mission-critical edge applications. Based on its long history in mission-critical solutions, Wind River is in a strong position to support telcos’ transition to cloud-native and performance-sensitive infrastructure. In addition to Wind River’s Studio’s very strong position and performance at the far edge, it is also designed and commercially deployed to support the telco Core as well.
