Slurp’it network discovery aims to deliver the key foundations to network automation that are not in place in many enterprises and CSPs: network visibility, inventory accuracy, and ultimately Network Observability. Network discovery has long been a key concern for enterprises and telcos. The idea of a fully accurate network inventory is understood, but its implementation has always proved both problematic and its achievement impossible to objectively validate. Slurp’it aims to provide discovery that does not require complex interface development and yet still provides the breadth of device coverage normally only achievable through custom scripts. It aims to solve the network visibility issue by moving from ad-hoc custom data scripts to a consistent data-driven approach.
