Cisco is moving well beyond its traditional position as a router and hardware vendor, to provide forward looking solutions to define (model, store logic and data), instantiate, monitor and manage next-generation networks. This growing suite includes technology acquired from Tail-f, as well as organically developed solutions including that for Policy Management. Cisco’s is addressing Policy Management in many of the domains outlined by ARG in our Framework Report, including NFV, SDN, Service Chains, 3GPP PCC (monetization) and it evolution, and non-standardized areas of personalization (access rights, security, etc.).
