Bridging the Network Autonomy Chasm

In Crossing the Network Autonomy Chasm Appledore identified a “chasm” in the road to fully autonomous networks. CSPs must bridge this chasm they are to meet their aspirations to become truly autonomous network providers, with all of the operations and innovation benefits that this can deliver.

Appledore has identified four key areas of difference “planks” that can bridge this autonomy chasm. This report goes into detail about these autonomy changes and how they differ from existing network operational practices – putting all of them in a common autonomy management framework:
